Thank you for your interest in Peaceful Living. We currently offer a variety of services
to private and public organizations serving the public as well as individuals with
disabilities and their families.
Respite:
Peaceful Living uses a combination of volunteers and paid staff to provide trained and
knowledgeable persons to stay with an individual with a disability, who needs support to
remain safe while family members are not able to be present. Peaceful Living provides
respite in the home of the individual or in the home of a Peaceful Living respite provider.
In-Home Services:
Peaceful Living works with an individual and those who are closest to them to develop a
life plan and goals that will aide that individual to enjoy a richer and more independent
lifestyle. Peaceful Living utilizes trained companions to teach life skills to individuals
with disabilities in the community.
Educational Services:
Peaceful Living draws from a staff that is rich in experience and training to provide
guidance to churches, synagogues, schools and community programs, on how to create a
nurturing and inclusive environment for individuals with disabilities. Peaceful Living
provides various levels of support to agencies and organizations that wish to become more
inclusive. Peaceful Living will provide in-service training, seminars or complete
consultative support.
Center for Congregational Life:
The congregation is the center of life for the Anabaptist or historic peace churches. What we
want to do with our Center for Congregational Life is to help all congregations improve themselves
by providing resources to include everyone, especially persons with disabilities. We will
provide information, specific suggestions, and tools to use as you improve your congregation.
