Peaceful Living’s Family Services Department provides home and community based supports to adults with intellectual disabilities and autism. Case Managers work closely with individuals and families to match them with staff who have the right personalities and skills. Our Community Based Companions are trained beyond state requirements and receive person centered coaching from the Case Managers.
Our primary service is Habilitation, an educational service that focuses on the personal goals of the individuals we serve as outlined in their ISP. We currently service the PFDS, Consolidated, and Adult Autism waivers. We accept private pay in some situations and base funding through Montgomery County. Companions also provide hourly Respite and we will arrange for Overnight Respite with contractors (usually staff from other agencies or family members already familiar with the individual). We also provide Community Inclusion and Systemic Skill Building through the Adult Autism Waiver.
